As a history instructor, I teach a range of topics from the Ancient World to the Middle Ages. I also teach writing methods including first-year college research, technical writing, and public relations.
In the classroom, my goal is to train students to master the interdisciplinary methods used by Late Antique and Early Medieval historians. My history students learn how to evaluate and use archaeological data, scientific studies, and physical anthropology (human bones) alongside more familiar documentary sources. As a university writing instructor, I am experienced teaching the fundamentals of research project design, clear argumentation, and the effective use of evidence, analysis, and prose.
